first of October is a public holiday in Nigeria, which denotes Nigeria's proclamation of freedom from British rule so therefore, Nigeria commends its independent on 1 October every year.
Hon. Sanni Salau Ogembe who is the candidate of the People Democratic Party PDP for Kogi state House of assembly political race in the last kogi state election and also one of the Major stakeholder in the last kogi state governorship election, in a statement signed by his media aide, comrade Opata Abdallah Little urge the citizens of Nigerians to pray for the country as Nigeria clock 60 years.
Nigeria at 60 would have been deserving of festivity just if the land still possesses milk and honey for her residents, it would have been worthy of celebration if the system has any arrangement for the average person, the celebration would have worth it if the independence isn't only a date on current affairs for the student, if however has impact on the lives of the majority.
We have to pray to God for the country the arrival of the lost wonder because what Nigeria as a nation at 60 need is prayers not baseless speeches, he closed.
