Hon. Sanni Salau Ogembe Secures Ancestral Backing for 2027 House of Reps Race

In what many are describing as a masterstroke of political diplomacy, Hon. Sanni Salau Ogembe has officially kicked off his journey toward the 2027 National Assembly elections.

On friday, the 13th march, 2026, the heavyweight politician held a high-stakes consultation with the Eyire Traditional Council and Elders, seeking their ancestral blessings and strategic guidance for his bid to represent the Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency.

The atmosphere in the council chambers was one of deep mutual respect and shared vision. Hon. Sanni Salau Ogembe, known for his grassroots connection, didn't just come to "announce" an ambition; he came to "consult" a heritage.

Addressing the gathered patriarchs and traditional titleholders, Sanni Ogembe emphasized that his 2027 aspiration is rooted in a desire to bring sustainable development, youth empowerment, and a louder voice for the Ebira people to the hallowed chambers of the House of Representatives.

I cannot begin this journey from the outside looking in. I must start from home, with the wisdom of my fathers," Hon. Sanni Salau Ogembe stated during the meeting. "The Eyire people are the bedrock of our identity, and their support is the fuel I need for this mission.

The Elders, led by their prominent traditional Father, HRH the Ohiopisa Eyire, lauded Hon. Sanni for his humility and his track record of community service. The council praised his decision to consult the traditional institution early, noting that such a move signifies a candidate who values culture and stability.

While the road to 2027 is still unfolding, this strategic meeting has sent ripples through the political landscape of Kogi Central. By securing the ears and the prayers of the Eyire Traditional Council, Hon. Sanni Salau Ogembe has effectively positioned himself as a frontrunner with the "home court advantage."
