It is expected for support groups and political associations to adopt and canvas suppose for their preferred candidate of choice in any election but it berates them if they chooses to cajole the public with untrue and none substantiated pictures of event.
On Wednesday September 15, 2021, Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Jamiu Asuku, Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo and few Fmr House of Assembly Members came to Lagos to organize what they tagged "an endorsement for Yahaya Bello Candidacy" with GYB2PYB Support Group claimed to endorsed the 2023 Presidential aspiration of Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, in 2023, the event was held at Grandeur Event Center, Oregun, Lagos.
Speaking at the event, Oladele John Nihi Oladele John Nihi, the Director-General of the group, said: “The brain behind the get-together (so called conference) is to conscientise Kogi Indigenes, especially the youths on the need to support youth presidency come 2023”.
Dignitaries at the event include but are not limited to: Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Jamiu Asuku, Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, Chairman Team Lagos, Gbenga Obama, Chairman, Omi Rice Ltd, Segun Olonade, Baba Oja, BOT Secretary & BOT Members of GYB2PYB Support Group, Yemisi Oshaloto, Computer village Ikeja Lagos state & secretary team Lagos, Imam Atiku, among others.
It is therefore incorrect, not appropriate and uncharitable for CoS to the Governor, and few political beneficiaries of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State to come to Lagos on a visit to their indigenes or get together to claim that South-West Youth endorsed anyone not to mention the candidacy of Gov Yahaya Bello.
