Suspension Saga: Bauchi Governor Backs Senator Ngigi in N3.7 Trillion Budget Controversy.

The governor of Bauchi state, Bala Muhammed, stated that the state government supports Senator Abdul Ngigi, who is suspended, in his assertion that there is an untraceable N3.7 trillion in the Nigerian budget for 2024.

Sen. Abdul Ngigi, the chairman of the Northern Senatorial Forum (NSF) and a senator from Bauchi Central Senatorial District, was suspended by the Senates on Tuesday and thereafter resigned from his position as chairman.

Gov. Bala voiced his disapproval over Ngigi's suspension during the state executive council meeting on Wednesday at the Bauchi state government house. He said he was not happy about the PDP lawmaker's suspension.

"Yesterday, I was sad that one of our best senators from Bauchi was suspended by the Senates, for telling the truth" the governor said in his speech.

The PDP governor's forum chairman, Governor Bala Muhammad, stated: "I don't know what we will do, but we will discuss in private to see how we can help and support him because I always support him for doing what is right and now it is in our best position to do so.
