OHINOYI OF EBIRA GRACES Flag-Off CEREMONY OF ACReSAL's COMMUNITY REVOLVING FUND 

His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Dr. Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, the Ohinoyi of Ebira, graced the flag-off ceremony of the Community Revolving Fund for the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscape (ACReSAL) Project in Lokoja, Kogi State.

The ceremony, which was held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, marked the official launch of the loan disbursement program under the ACReSAL initiative. Barr. Ladi Jatto, the Kogi State ACReSAL Coordinator, led the program under the guidance of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. The event held at the Glass House, attracted various dignitaries, including the Secretary to the State Government, Honorable Commissioners for Agriculture, Finance, Water Resources, Information, Local Government, and Chieftency Affairs, and a number of Local Government Transition Committee Chairmen.

In her opening speech, Bar. Ladi Jatto clarified that the program is an interest-free loans, not grants. The program aims to create a revolving fund accessible to the community. She highlighted that Kogi was one of only eight states selected from 19 after a rigorous assessment process.

His Majesty, the Ohinoyi of Ebira, commended the state government and the program coordinator for their continuous efforts in poverty alleviation. He appealed to the state government to advocate for the relocation of the Federal Capital Territory back to Lokoja, citing its historical significance as the first capital of Nigeria especially now that the country has adopted the use of the old National Anthem.

In his speech, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds judiciously and repay the loans promptly to ensure the program's sustainability and benefit others. He pledged his continued dedication to elevating the state to an enviable heights. He declared the people as the true governors, with himself acting as their servant. He emphasized that a servant leader prioritizes the people's needs, and his team, along with himself as the Chief Servant, is committed to serving the people of Kogi State.

In response to His Majesty's request regarding the relocation of the capital, Governor Ododo promised to convey the message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for consideration.

The ceremony came to an end with His Majesty joining in the presentation of the first loan disbursement to the representatives of beneficiaries from various Local Government across the state.
