INEC Warns: Fake Voter Registration Website Exposed

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) wishes to notify the general public that a website currently circulating under the title “INEC VOTERS CARD ONLINE REGISTRATION” is fake, misleading, and not authorized by the Commission.

The Commission did not originate, approve, or endorse the following link:

Members of the public are strongly advised not to visit the site or submit any personal information through the link, as it is fraudulent.


For the avoidance of doubt, the only official Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) Portal approved by INEC for the following services:

• Update of voter registration information

• Transfer of voter registration to another polling unit

• Replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs)

• Location of registration centres for first-time registration
