Islam is Peace, Not Violence: Sheikh Abdul Malik Of Jauhar TV Calls Out Radical Preachers (Video)
In a powerful video message that is currently trending across Ebiraland, Sheikh Abdulmalik, the face of the popular digital platform Jauhar TV, has issued a stern warning to Islamic preachers who use their platforms to incite anger and violence.
The cleric, known for his moderate and insightful teachings, took to his social media handles to remind the Ummah that the core of Islam is built on the foundation of mercy, wisdom, and patience.
Addressing the growing concern over inflammatory rhetoric in some religious circles, Ustaz Abdul emphasized that the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) never sought to win hearts through insults or force.
"Islam is a religion of peace, mercy, and wisdom," Sheikh Abdulmalik stated. "Let us preach Islam with kindness and patience, not with words that may lead to anger or violence."
He further cautioned that aggressive preaching does more harm than good, often driving people away from the faith rather than bringing them closer to the truth.
The Ustaz also provided practical advice for Muslims on how to handle disagreements or observed wrongdoing within the community. Instead of public shaming or harsh criticism, he advocated for the Sunnah method of "Nasiha" (sincere advice).
Advise your brother calmly and with good manners. Use gentle words and understanding to guide others. Spread unity and good character as the ultimate form of Da'wah.
"Forcing or insulting someone will only push them away," he warned. "Let us spread peace, unity, and good character, just as our beloved Prophet (ﷺ) taught us."
The video has been met with widespread praise from residents of Okene and the wider Kogi Central district, many of whom have called for more religious leaders to adopt this peaceful approach to maintain the harmony currently enjoyed in the state.
