Ohinoyi Of Ebiraland Hosts Christian Community At His Palace To Mark Palm Sunday


In a powerful display of religious tolerance and communal harmony, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM Dr. Ahmed Tijani Aliyu Anaje, hosted members of the Christian community at his palace on Sunday to commemorate the 2026 Palm Sunday celebrations.


The ebira paramount ruler welcomed various denominations and Christian leaders, emphasizing that the development of Ebiraland rests on the pillars of unity, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence among all faiths.



The Ohinoyi urged the Christian faithful to use the occasion of Palm Sunday which marks the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem to pray for the continued peace and prosperity of the entire state and Kogi Central Senatorial District.


The monarch reiterated his commitment to being a father to all, regardless of religious affiliations, noting that "the blood that binds us as Ebira people is stronger than the lines that divide our worship."



Representatives of the Christian community expressed their gratitude for the warm reception, describing the monarch as a "bridge-builder" whose leadership is fostering a new era of inclusivity in the kingdom.
