Sheik Gumi Reveal What Buhari Should Do To End Banditry
A famous Islamic researcher, Sheik Ahmad Gumi, has emphasized the call for bandits to be given amnesty.
Gumi said bandits would not leave until the Federal Government awards them Amnesty as they did to the Niger Delta militants.
He revealed this expression in a post on his Facebook page named: 'Zamfara: The Flaring Of Crisis.'
The sheikh cautioned that military action against armed herdersladdress the issue rather worsen it instead.
He referred to the recent take over of Afghanistan by the Taliban, that no military, particularly of a poor economy, can win hit and run combat.
Some of the statement goes: "By 2015, banditry has replace cows raising that is turning out to be almost incomprehensible and drugs were introduced into the herders that are known to be uneducated people or semi-unskilled people.
"Similarly as we had the Niger Delta settled with an Amnesty which accompanies reconciliation, reparation, and rehabilitation packages, so will the banditry be settled. Truth be told, there is a requirement for a Marshal intend to educate the roaming pastoralist so that no resident is left out.
"No military, particularly of a poor economy, can win close quarters combat. The new triumph of the Taliban in Afghanistan is a real warning for those that doubt."
