A Call For Peace, Unity, And Responsible Citizenship In Kogi Central

In recent times, Kogi Central has witnessed painful moments of crisis fueled by misinformation, false narratives, and divisive rhetoric. These unfortunate developments led to the loss of precious lives, destruction of property, and deep emotional scars within our communities. Such experiences serve as a sober reminder of the dangers of allowing falsehoods and manipulation to take root among us.

Today, we give thanks to Almighty God for the relative peace and stability we are beginning to experience. With the efforts of the current administration and the collective desire of the people for harmony, calm is gradually being restored. Citizens can now sleep with a greater sense of security, without fear or panic. This progress, though encouraging, must be protected and sustained by all.

It is therefore a critical time for reflection—especially for our youths, who are often the most affected during periods of unrest. The future of Kogi Central lies in your hands. Do not allow yourselves to be misled or used as instruments of conflict. No temporary gain is worth the loss of life, dignity, or long-term opportunity.

We must rise above division and reject any attempt to sow discord through falsehood or incitement. Let us embrace truth, dialogue, and mutual respect as the foundation for coexistence. When approached with messages that promote hatred or revenge, choose wisdom over impulse. Ask questions, seek clarity, and prioritize peace over provocation.

True leadership is not about manipulation, but about building people, fostering unity, and creating opportunities for growth. As responsible citizens, we must hold ourselves to higher standards—promoting peace in our words, actions, and decisions.

Let us remain vigilant, law-abiding, and committed to the collective good. Peace is not merely the absence of conflict; it is the presence of justice, understanding, and shared progress.

Together, we can build a Kogi Central where development thrives, where communities are united, and where the next generation inherits a future defined not by crisis, but by opportunity.

Choose peace. Choose truth. Choose a better future.
