Senator Ogembe Did Not Loose In 2019, He Was Sabotaged By Men Of Less Character ~Concerned PDP Members Clarify

March 20, 2022

The attention of Kogi Central Concerned PDP Members has been drawn to a rather spurious insinuation making rounds in the media space concerning the outcome of the 2019 senatorial district election in which certain unstable elements have taken it upon themselves to malign the personality of our leader, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Salawu Ogembe, a man who is worth his salt in every inch of it.

We would naturally ignore such reckless insinuations which is an aftermath of possible intake of cheap drugs leading to hallucinations, but to set the records straight, it has become imperative to bring to fore, what transpired in the last elections where the distinguished Senator Ahmed Ogembe and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, were subjected to internal sabotage by men of unstable character who are slaves to their insatiable greed.

We welcome the person of Barr. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to the largest political party in the sub-Sahara, as it is a major addition to the main opposition party, PDP in Kogi State and at home  here in Kogi Central.

While the umbrella is big enough to accommodate all interest, it will be a disservice to the person of the Amazon and her followers if we do not give her an insight to the unfortunate dealings of the duo of a less honourable man like Hon. Jude,  the State financial secretary and that of the erstwhile Member representing the good of people of Adavi/Okehi federal constituency in the person of Hon. AbdulRahaman Badams. These duo had become notorious for their internal sabotage, selfish horse-trading, destructive anti-party activities and self glorification to preserve their political relevance.

Concerned PDP members want to use this medium to draw the attention of the entire PDP family to the notorious dealings that happened back-door between these unstable characters, the APC and the SDP in the last general election.

Concerned PDP members want to place on record that Senator Ahmed Salawu Ogembe did not loose the election but fell to the internal sabotage of the duo of (Dis) Honourable Jude and (Dis) Honourable Badamasui. These duo, were caught pants down in anti-party activities and the very art that shows nothing less of a bunch of sell-outs, as they collected huge sums of cash from the ruling APC to work against the Party, PDP, that gave them relevance and made them who they are today.

These same men went ahead to collect huge sums  of money from Barr. Natasha Akpoti (as she was then known) to work for her in the senatorial elections), only to pocket the money thereafter. In-fact, it is a well known fact in the public space that, Hon Jude had returned the sum of two million Naira (N2m) to Bar. Natasha after so much pressure for failing to deliver Natasha in the election.

Concerned PDP members wish to alert the public that the claims that  Senator Ahmed Ogembe lost the election in 2019 is nothing but hogwash and a deliberate attempt to distort facts. Every discerning mind is aware of the happenings that saw the party lose woefully in Kogi central in 2019.

It is also imperative to note that the same figure they are bandying around is the same figure the Social Democratic Party, SDP and her candidate went to court with, claiming the figure was only “allocated” and not what they polled in that election, so, we are wondering why the same figures are being paraded as a legitimacy of claim to have defeated Sen. Ogembe in that same election.

Concerned PDP members also wish to advise Barr. Natasha to be wary of certain individuals within the Party whose only aim is to trade the party for their personal gains as against the collective good of delivering good governance to the masses, especially the above-named duo earlier mentioned.

On a final note, we wish to state that the duo of Hon. Jude and Hon Badamasui represent the poster boys of the merchants in the PDP in kogi central.
