SENATOR OGEMBE DISTANCES HIMSELF FROM CONCERNED PDP AND ADAVI PDP SEARCHLIGHT MEDIA FIGHT, SAYS HE IS FOCUSED ON UNITING KOGI CENTRAL PDP
The Senator that represented Kogi Central Senatorial constituency in the Eight (8th) Senate, Senator Ahmed Salau Ogembe, has on Tuesday distanced himself from the current media strife ongoing among two warring support groups of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi Central.
“My attention has just been drawn to a certain unhealthy development making the rounds on the media space in Kogi central about some two groups affiliated to our great party, PDP.
“According to the information made available to me, the two groups have been throwing tantrums at each other and trading words with each other for a while now, a situation that climaxed into the two groups tagging myself and some other members of our party chapter in Kogi central as to certain terrible developments that they claimed transpired in the past.
“While I am yet to get full briefing as to what led to all that, I am left with the immediate option of clearing air soon enough as the information available to me as to how low both groups have gone already in the course of their tantrums at each other is enough to distabilise the chances of our party ahead of the 2023 polls,” the Senator said.
“This is to establish that I have no any affiliation to any of the two groups exchanging tantrums on the media space and this is to as well call both groups to order. They must desist from further exchange of words under any guise if they truly love our great party, PDP, and if they are indeed serious about how our great party will take back power in 2023.
“For me, the objective is uniting our party members and supporters across the Kogi central zone as we all form a common front to take back Kogi central in 2023, from the under-representation the senatorial zone has found itself under APC since 2019,” Senator Ogembe concluded.
