We give thanks to Allah (SWT) for His Mercy in granting us health and life to celebrate this blessed Eid-el-Adha.
His Royal Majesty, extends his warm wishes to all Ebira people, regardless of religion or social standing. "We are one community; brothers and sisters in Ebiraland". He calls upon Muslim Ummah to embody the spirit of obedience and tolerance as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
For those fortunate enough to afford a sacrificial ram, His Majesty urges them to extend a helping hand to those less privileged within their community, both Muslims and non-Muslims alike. "This is a prime opportunity to showcase the compassionate nature of Islam".
Regarding the current economic hardship, His Majesty acknowledges that this is a global phenomenal, as he appeals to marketers, particularly food stuff vendours to be compassionate and avoid unnecessary further price hike, henceforth. He admonishes all to remember the spirit of brotherhood.
The Ohinoyi expresses appreciation to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his dedication to tackling the needs of the state. He commends the Governor's proactiveness in ensuring that the state civil servants are paid their June salaries before Eid, allowing for a joyful celebration. He seized the opportunity to also appreciate the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello for his visionary leadership in his choice of the present governor, who is doing wonderfully well.
He pray unto Allah to grant us continued peace and prosperity in Ebiraland.
