HON. MECA SOJE PAYS SALLAH HOMAGE TO HIS MAJESTY, OHINOYI EBIRA 

On June 16, 2024, Hon. Meca Soje arrived at the palace of His Royal Majesty, Ohinoyi Ebira, accompanied by a large crowd. The delegation included elder statesman Daudu Alhaji Isa Ozi Salami, (The Ohi Otenyiete of Ebiraland), traditional rulers from Ogori-Magongo, religious leaders, political figures from the area, and well-wishers.

Honouring Tradition and Seeking Blessings

The leader expressed his gratitude to His Majesty for receiving him on the third day after Sallah for the homage. He acknowledged the instrumental role of Daudu Alhaji Isa Ozi Salami in facilitating the visit, describing him as a father figure for the past thirty years. Hon. Soje stated his purpose as seeking His Majesty's royal blessings, recognizing the king's role as a father to all, which he has demonstrated on numerous occasions.

Mutual Respect and Shared Goals

Daudu Alhaji Isa Ozi Salami expressed his appreciation to His Majesty for granting his request inspite his very tight schedules. He offered prayers for a reign filled with even greater achievements than those of his predecessors.

In response, His Majesty welcomed the delegation. He acknowledged Daudu as a father whose requests he can never turn down. He described Hon. Meka Soje as someone who prioritizes the well-being of his people. His Majesty used the opportunity to inform the people of Ogori and Magongo that they are considered part and parcel of his kingdom and that they are always welcome to his palace.

Furthermore, he queried why the duo of Prof. Samuel Mosugu and Prof. Akerejola are not in their midst, and was informed of their absence from town.

Plans for the Future

In conclusion, His Majesty expressed his desire to establish an annex in the Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area in the near future.
