In a sobering assessment of the rapidly escalating conflict in the Middle East, Iran’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Gholamreza Mahdavi Raja, has revealed the staggering scale of military action directed at his country.
Appearing on Arise News’ The Morning Show this Sunday, March 8, 2026, the Ambassador detailed a week of intense bombardment, reporting that Iran has been hit by approximately 6,000 missiles and 2,500 individual strikes since the outbreak of hostilities involving the United States and Israel.
Raja characterized the barrage as relentless military aggression by U.S. forces. He noted that the sheer volume of fire has left Tehran with no choice but to formulate a direct military response.
The Ambassador confirmed that Iran has formally warned neighboring countries hosting U.S. military assets. If these bases are utilized for strikes against Iranian soil, they will be classified as legitimate targets under the laws of armed conflict.
